Srinagar, Oct 31: Police Technical Training Institute on Tuesday organized “National Unity Day” on the eve of birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

On this occasion, a pledge for Unity, Integrity and Security of the nation was also taken by the Police personnel and trainees of the Institute under the command of Shiv Kumar, Principal PTTI Vijaypur.

Subsequently, a March-Past was organized in which staff and trainees participated.

While speaking on the occasion, Principal PTTI Vijaypur said that the “National Unity Day”, also Known as “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas” was introduced by the Government of India in 2014 and since then it is celebrated every year on 31st of October by the people across the Country as a special occasion, to enhance the spirit of unification of the Nation which was visualized by Ironman Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.

The aim of celebrating this event is to pay tribute to SardarVallabh Bhai Patel on his birth anniversary by remembering his extraordinary works for the country and his efforts to unite the nation.

Lastly, Shiv Kumar, Principal PTTI Vijaypur, Devinder Gupta (Dy.SP R&D), Kuldeep Raj (Dy.SP Indoor/Tech), Khushwant Singh (Dy.SP Admn.), Inspr. Vishal Kumar (CDI), Inspr. Anil Kumar, Inspr. Ram Lal, Inspr. Kanwal Raina, Inspr. Mulkh Raj, Inspr. Vivek Kalsotra, Inspr. Bhopinder Singh, Inspr. Pawan Kumar, Inspr. Ashish Dharmat, all staff and trainees showered flowers upon the photograph of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel.
