Poonch, Oct 06: Police in Poonch district on Friday claimed to have arrested arrested a Rohingya resident
creating fake Aadhar cards and ration cards with the help of employees from different departments.

An official said that a Rohingya man named Mohd Noman, aged 35 and residing in Mayanmar, has been booked at the Gursai police station of Mendhar subdivision. He has been accused of creating fake Aadhar cards and ration cards with the help of employees from different departments.

The accused, Mohd Noman, has been residing in the house of Nazir Hussain, son of Mohd Yousuf, in Dhargloon Tehsil Balakote. He is reported to have entered into a criminal conspiracy along with these employees to prepare and distribute illegal and forged documents.

The police have registered a case under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 420 (cheating), 465 (forgery), 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating), 471 (using as genuine a forged document), 109 (abetment), and 120-B (criminal conspiracy). The investigation into the matter has begun at the Gursai police station he added.

The official further added that police expect more arrests to be made in connection with this case.

All individuals involved in the criminal conspiracy and forgery will be taken through the legal process to determine their involvement and assign appropriate legal consequences, he added.
