Gandhi Jayanti: BSF organizes cleanliness drive in Sgr

Humhama (Budgam), Oct 01: Under the aegis of Swacchta Hi Seva, the Border Security Force (BSF), Kashmir organized a grand cleanliness drive in and around all its campus of 14 Battalions  and four Sectors located in different parts of Kashmir Valley on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

Ashok Yadav, Inspector General of BSF Kashmir led the cleanliness drive conducted around the Srinagar Airport, a statement issued here reads.

The cleanliness drive is being organized w.e.f 24th Sept’ to 01st Oct’ 2023 at Frontier HQ/STC BSF, Kashmir to commemorate Mahatma Gandhi’s 153rd birth anniversary, aimed to promote cleanliness, hygiene and environmental awareness among the local community.

The event witnessed active participation of BSF personnel alongwith members of civil society to clean and beautify the surroundings of civil Airport and BSF campus Humhama, spreading the message of cleanliness and its importance.

Besides above, all BSF establishment/Bns working in Kashmir Valley have participated in the “Swacchta Hi Seva” campaign at their respective areas.

The initiative, aligned with Swacchta Hi Seva campaign, emphasizes the significance of cleanliness as a way of life and how it contributes to a healthier and more sustainable future. With the active involvement of the BSF Kashmir, this event not only showcased their commitment towards cleanliness but also served as an inspiration for the local community to embrace cleanliness as a collective responsibility.                                                                 
Ashok Yadav, expressed his gratitude towards the BSF personnel for their unwavering dedication and their role in keeping the surroundings clean and green.

He also urged to citizens to whole heartedly contribute towards the efforts of the Government of India in promoting cleanliness across the nation through initiatives like Swacchta Hi Seva.

The event served as a platform for fostering a sense of community and camaraderie with BSF personnel working hand in hand with local residents creating a positive and lasting impact on the environment.

The drive also emphasized the need for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene as essential practices for the well being of individual and the community at large.

Ashok Yadav, extended heartfelt thanks to all BSF personnel who contributed their time and efforts towards making this cleanliness drive a resounding success. A Swachh Bharat is a shared responsibility and every effort towards it counts. The BSF Kashmir remains committed to upholding the values of cleanliness and will continue to actively participate in such initiatives that promote a cleaner and greener future for all.

Committed to safeguarding the Nation, BSF Kashmir actively participates in various initiatives of the Govt. of India and local community aimed at promoting cleanliness, environmental awareness and community development.
