Alijana Cricket Club, Sultan Warriors Win Matches In JKPL Season 2

Srinagar: In thrilling start to the second season of the Jammu and Kashmir Premier League (JKPL),Alijana emerged victorious by defeating Team bird by 44Runs.

Batting first, Alijana scored big total of 198/7 in which Imran Ganie scored valuable 87 runs For Team bird captain Tajamul Ashraf was pick of the bowlers and picked 2 wickets.The standout performance of the match came from Imran ganie, who proved to be the be the Man of the match.

In reply Team bird managed to score only 154/8. Umer Nabi scored 42. For Alijana parveez Rasool and Shiva Singh picked two wickets each.

The excitement continued in the second match of the day at JKPL Season 2 as Sultan warriors Baramulla secured a victory over bhat lions Kupwara, winning by 9 runs.

SWB batting first, set a competitive target of 203 runs with help of Imtiyaz left’s brilliant knock of 65 runs.

Bhat lions Kupwara fell short of just 9 runs. For Kupwara Vishu Khatri palyed innings of his life scoring magnificent century 105 runs in just 47 balls. Jehangir lone was standout performer for SWB as he changed the game on his head a picked a 5 wicket houl.
