2 LeT militants arrested in Budgam: Police

Srinagar, Aug 10: Police on Thursday said that it alongwith army arrested three associates of Lashker-e-Toiba militant outfit in Budgam district and recovered incriminating materials from their possession.

A police spokesperson in a statement said that Police and Army’s 62 RR arrested the LeT associates in Khansahab area of central Kashmir district.

They have been identified as Qaisar Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Nabi Dar of Kremshora, Tahir Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Nabi Dar and Aqib Rashed Ganie son of Abdul Rashed Ganie, both residents of Wagar.

“Incriminating materials including one Chinese hand grenade, two magazines and 57 live rounds have been recovered from their possession,” he said, adding, “All the recovered materials have been taken into case records for further investigation.”

Accordingly, he said, a case under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Khansahab and investigation has been taken up.
