Jammu, April 19: One person died and his brother was injured in a mysterious blast in Kishtwar district, officials said.

“Initial reports revealed that a suspicious blast occurred in the kitchen of the house of one Mohammad Abass Naik in Symbol village,” SSP Kishtwar said. In the blast one person died and one was injured. “Reportedly both brothers had gone to the jungle for collection of Morchella(Guchhi) they found one abandoned rod like rusted object which they brought to home and in the kitchen while heating it blast occurred,” the officer said.  Police have started investigations to unravel the truth, the officer said.  Meanwhile, sources said that the injured man has been shifted to hospital.
