Bihar: Vijay Kumar Sinha Bihar Speaker , resigned from his post ahead of the Nitish Kumar government’s floor test, Indian Express reported.
“Speaking in the Vidhan Sabha, Sinha nominated Narendra Naryanan Yadav to take over the Chair and preside over the agenda set by the government. He added that the chair was “Panch Parmeshwar”. “What message do you want to give by casting suspicions on the Chair? People will make a decision,” he added,” reads the report.
IE said that the Bihar Assembly secretariat late Tuesday evening, on the advice of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, changed the business schedule for the special two-day session to advance the no trust motion against Sinha. Earlier, Sinha had refused to step down.
