Srinagar, Aug 14: A gunfight has started in Rajouri district’s Sujain area, officials said on Sunday.

Officials said that a team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in area amid specific input about the presence of the militants.

As the joint team approached the suspected area, they said, the hiding militants fired upon the party leading to an encounter.

When this report was filed, exchange of fire was going on.
