SRINAGAR, AUGUST 13: A full dress rehearsal function on the occasion of August 15 was today held across all the districts of Kashmir.

The rehearsal is a precursor to the actual parade scheduled to be held on 15th of August to present a glimpse of preparation for an impressive show of colourful events.

In Srinagar, the full dress rehearsal was held at S.K Stadium where Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole hoisted the tricolor, took salute from parade commander and contingents besides inspected the parade of contingents.

The contingents that participated in the March past parade included Police, JKAP, CRPF, SSB, lady contingent of Police, IRP, Fire & Emergency Services, Forest Protection Force, Pipe & Band contingents, NCC & Student contingents from 14 schools of District Srinagar besides, Civil Defense Department which participated first time in the parade.

Meanwhile, Artists of cultural academy and other troupes besides, students performed colorful cultural programmes amid the national Patriotic Songs and local popular songs which enthralled the audience and invoked huge applause.

Among others present were Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Assad; senior Police Officers,  Head of Departments of all line departments, students, media persons besides officers of CRPF and other security agencies.

At Baramulla: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Baramulla, Aijaz Abdullah Saraf unfurled the tricolor, took the salute at the march-past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, SSB, Home Guard and students of various schools and inspected the parade at District Police Lines, here.

The ADDC expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by various departments for the hassle free celebration of the national event at the venue.

In his address, the ADDC lauded the importance of Independence-Day celebration and said that this year Independence day is celebrated as “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav”, an initiative of the Government of India to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India.

He also highlighted the various developmental activities registered by different departments in the district and achievement under different welfare schemes during the current financial year.

Besides, colorful cultural items and theme based skits as a part of the full-dress rehearsal were presented by students and well-known artists.

At Anantnag: The Additional Deputy  Commissioner (ADC) Anantnag, Gh. Hassan Sheikh today unfurled the national flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents from CRPF, J&K Police, Home Guards,  NCC and school Childrens at GDC Boys Khanabal, here.

Addressing the gathering, the ADC highlighted efforts and  achievements made by the district under various priority areas including education, healthcare, languishing, back to village, district capex, agriculture and allied sectors, women and youth empowerment, MGNREGA, JJM, water and electricity supply to Anganwadi Centres and schools, rural development, macadamisation and road connectivity, social welfare, Nasha Mukt Bharat, industries, self employment and creation of durable and sustainable assets.

He also thanked the general public for their cordial support during the SANJY 2022. The importance of flagship programmes like Har Ghar Trianga was also highlighted on the occasion.

On the occasion, colorful cultural programmes on patriotic themes were presented by the students from schools and artists of the Information department.

Among others, ADDC, SP, ADC( G), CEO, CMO, ACD, ACP, ACR, Ex. Engineer R&B, Flood, ARTO, Tehsildar Anantnag, officers from civil and police administration and general public were present during the full dress rehearsal.

At Budgam: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Budgam, Dr Akramullah Tak today unfurled the tricolor, inspected the parade contingents and took salute at the March Past, presented by contingents of JKP, JKIP, CRPF, Home Guard, NCC and school students at the Sports Stadium, here.

During his address, the ADDC paid rich tributes to the martyrs and highlighted the role and sacrifices of freedom fighters for India’s Independence.

On the occasion various cultural programmes were presented by artists and school children.

Similar Rehearsal functions were also held at all SDM and Tehsil Headquarters.

The function was also attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner, ASP, all concerned DySPs, District/Sectoral Officers and other concerned

At Ganderbal: The Deputy Commissioner (DC), Ganderbal, Shyambir unfurled the tricolor, inspected the parade and took salute at the march-past presented by the contingents of JKP, JKAP, CRPF, ITBP, PTS Manigam, SPO Ganderbal, District Police, Home Guard, NCC and students of various schools at Qamariya Ground, here.

The DC expressed satisfaction over the arrangements made by various departments for the hassle free celebration of the national event at the venue.

In his address, the DC complimented all the departments engaged in preparations for hassle free celebration of 76th Independence Day. He said that various activities under Har Ghar Tiranga are going in full swing in the district in which people from all walks of life are participating enthusiastically to celebrate and commemorate 75 years of progressive India.

Besides, colorful cultural items and theme based skits as a part of the full-dress rehearsal were presented by the students.

The event was attended by ADDC, Khurshid Ahmad Shah; ADC, Farooq Ahmad Baba; ASP, Feroz Yehya; CPO, ACR, besides various other civil and police officers.

At Pulwama: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC), Pulwama, Dr Ab Aziz Sheikh  today hoisted  the National Flag and took salute at the march past comprising contingents from CRPF, District Police, JKP Womens wing, Home guard and school children from various educational institutes at District Police Lines, here.

Speaking on occasion, the ADDC highlighted various developmental works and achievements of the district particularly the establishment of AIIMS and IUST in the district.

He said that Pulwama leads in the saffron production which is a world famous crop cultivated in the district adding that District has potential to become economically vibrant and self-sufficient in various products.

On the occasion, local artists presented cultural programmes, patriotic songs and skits. However artists from the Information Department and Youth Services and Sports also mesmerized the audience with patriotic songs.

Senior officers from Police and civil administration, school children and a large number of people were present on the occasion.

Similar function was held at DPL Awantipora where ADC Awantipora M. Zaffer Shawl hoisted the flag and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of JKAP, JKP, CRPF, NCC cadets and school children.

At Shopian: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani unfurled the National Flag and took salute at the March Past presented by the contingents of CRPF, JKP, Forest Protection Police, Fire & Emergency, Home Guard and contingents of various school children at District Police Lines (DPL), here.

Addressing the gathering, the ADC said that after independence the nation has achieved the highest goals of success in every field of development. He enlisted various projects that were executed  in the district in different sectors viz. health, education, R&B, JJM, KPDCL, RDD etc and said that the district has recorded splendid achievements on multiple fronts.

Underlining the need of maintaining peace and communal harmony for development, ADC said that Shopian district is a glaring and shining example of brotherhood where people of different faiths and communities co-exist peacefully.

School children of various educational institutions also presented cultural programmes on the occasion.

Among others, senior Civil Administration and Police officers were present on the occasion.

At Kulgam: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Riyaz Ahmad Sofi today unfurled the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute at the march past presented by the contingents of J&K Police, CRPF, Women Police, Home Guard, Police band, students from schools and other contingents at District Police Lines (DPL), here.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC congratulated the people and highlighted the developmental scenario of the district and achievements recorded under various schemes and sectors in the district.

Cultural programmes were also presented on the occasion by the local artists.

ADC, Showkat Ahmad Rather; ASP, Majid Hussain and Senior officers from civil and police administration were present on the occasion.

Besides, President Municipal Council Kulgam, PRI members, students and people from various areas of the district participated in the function.

At Kupwara: The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Kupwara, Ghulam Nabi Bhat hoisted the National Flag, inspected the parade and took salute on March-past presented by contingents of JKP, IRP, CRPF, FPP, JK Home Guards, Police Commandos and school children at District Police Lines, here.

ASP Kupwara, ACD, ACP, CEO, CMO, DYS&SO and DIO besides District officers and officials were present on the occasion.

Addressing the function, the ADC congratulated the audience on the eve of celebration of 76th Independence Day. He said that District Administration is committed for holistic development and enlisted developmental activities and achievements.

He said Rs.1598 crore CAPEX Budget has been approved for the current year which is double than previous year’s budget. He also said that Rs.105.72 crore is being expended under Area Development Fund during the current financial year to develop basic infrastructure for the prosperity of rural people.

Ghulam Nabi Bhat said that District Kupwara is an Aspirational District adding that NITI AYOG has granted additional Rs.3 crore to the district this year. The Union Health Ministry has awarded the Gold Medal to the Health Department for best work in TB eradication in the district.

He said Bangus is developing as an unexplored tourist destination which has witnessed about 10000 tourist footfall this year.

Earlier, on his arrival, the ADC visited the Martyrs’ Memorial and laid flowers there.

Later, various colourful cultural variety programmes were presented by students from different schools on the occasion.  Lezium, Mass PT and Human Pyramid were also presented.

Full dress rehearsal functions were also held at Handwara, Karnah and Sogam sub divisions.

At DPL Handwara, ADC Handwara, Nazir Ahmad Mir hoisted the National Flag and took salute at the March past. Cultural programmes were also held on the occasion.

At Karnah, SDM, Dr.Gulzar Ahmad Rather hoisted the tricolour and took a salute on the March past. Cultural programmes were also held on the occasion.

At Bandipora: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Bandipora, Afsar Ali Khan today hoisted the National Flag, inspected the parade and took the salute at the march past comprising contingents of CRPF 3rd battalion, J&K Executive Police, J&K- IRP, J&K Fire and Emergency, SPOs, Home Guard, NCC, Students from various schools followed by police Band Group at S.K Stadium, here.

Speaking on the occasion, the ADDC appreciated and congratulated all the participants and organisers of Tiranga Rallies across the district. He also appreciated the efforts of all concerned who played their role in successful and peaceful completion of  Shri Amarnathji Yatra.

On the occasion colorful cultural programmes, depicting patriotism, culture and the message of the national anthem was also presented by various schools.

SSP Bandipora Mohd Zahid, ADC Bandipora Waseem Raja, ASP Bandipora Ashiq Hussain Tak, ACR Bandipora Parvaiz Rahim, Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad and heads of various departments, district officers along with senior officers were present to witness the full dress rehearsal.

Chairman MC Bandipora was also present during the full Dress Rehearsal function at S.K stadium besides the general public.

Full dress rehearsal function was also held at Mini secretariat Bandipora where Additional Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Waseem Raja hoisted the flag.

All the blocks of district also witnessed full dress rehearsal function besides functions at Sub Division Sumbal and Gurez
