Jammu, Aug 7: A daily-wager employee with Jal Shakti department died while two other people were injured after they came under landslide in Darahl area of Rajouri district on Sunday.

Official sources said the trio, two of them working as daily wage employees with Jal Shakti department, and another a labourer were restoring a water pipeline at Sarran Simbli area of Darhal when the landslide suddenly occurred this afternoon. One among them, Mohammad Shabir (48) son of Mohammad Azam of Chowkian Darhal died on the spot while two persons Mohammad Shabir son of Sain Mohammad and Mohammad Shamsheer son of Fateh Mohammad, both residents of Simbli, were injured.

Labourer, Shahbir Ahmad son of Sain Mohammad was later shifted to GMC Rajouri, they said.

a police officer confirmed the death of the daily-wager and injuries to other people in the incident.
