Srinagar, July 30: An unidentified militant was killed while as two army soldiers and a policeman were injured in the gunfight at Wanigam Bala area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.

Official sources said that one militant was killed in the gunfight. Also Sniffer Dog of army was killed.

Also, they said, two army soldiers and a cop also received injuries in the exchange of fire and their condition is said to be stable.

The gunfight had started after a joint team of Police and Army launched a cordon and search operation in the Wanigam Bala.

As the joint team approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering off the gunfight.
