J&K Reports 140 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, July 13: Jammu and Kashmir reported 140 fresh covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus during last 24 hours, officials said on Wednesday.

They said that 96 cases were reported from Jammu division and 44 from Kashmir division, taking the overall tally to 456291.

Giving district wise details, he said, Jammu reported 74 cases, Srinagar 41, Udhampur 11, Doda four, Rajouri three and Samba, Kathua and Ganderbal two cases each while Kulgam reported one case.

Among the total cases, 167793 are from Jammu division and 288498 from Kashmir.

There was mo death from Jammu region due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4758 persons have succumbed to the virus—2333 in Jammu and 2425 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, 109 Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—62 from Jammu division and 47 from Kashmir Valley. There are now 769 active case— 466 in Jammu and 303 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 3768 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
