Srinagar, July 12: Militants have managed to flee after gunfight with a joint team of police and army in Reban Zainapora area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district.

After initial contact with the hiding militants, there was complete lull in firing, a police official said.

The searches continued throughout night, however no militant was found. “It seems that due to darkness militants believed to be two in number managed to escape”, the official added.
