J&K Reports 22 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, June 17: Jammu and Kashmir recorded 22 new Covid-19 even as there was no death due to the pathogen during last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

They said that 12 cases were reported from Jammu, five from Srinagar, three from Udhampur and one each from Rajouri and Kathua districts respectively, taking the overall tally to 454442—166611 in Jammu division and 287831 in Kashmir.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, nine Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—seven from Jammu division and two from Kashmir. So far 449566 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 124— 85 in Jammu and 39 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 5319 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
