Jammu and Kashmir logs 18 new covid-19 cases

Srinagar, June 14: Jammu and Kashmir reported 18 new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.

They said that fifteen cases were reported from Jammu division and three from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 454373—166563 in Jammu division and 287810 in Kashmir.

Giving district wise details, they said, 12 cases were reported from Jammu, two from Udhampur, three from Srinagar and one from Kathua.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, nine Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—eight from Jammu division and one from Kashmir. So far 449513 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 99— 71 in Jammu and 28 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 6701 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
