J&K reports 13 new covid-19 cases, no death

Srinagar, June 9: Jammu and Kashmir reported thirteen new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

They said that eight cases were reported from Jammu district, and one each Rajouri, Samba, Reasi, Srinagar and Baramulla, taking the overall tally to 454314—166525 in Jammu division and 287789 in Kashmir.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, three Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—all from Jammu division. So far 449494 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 68— 57 in Jammu and 11 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 5826 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
