1 person killed, 10 others injured in accident in Poonch

Poonch, June 4: One person was killed and ten others were injured when a passenger they were travelling in skidded off the road and rolled down into a gorge in Poonch district on Saturday.

Official sources said that at about 1500 hours, the Tata Sumo (JK14A-3699) met with an accident at Barari Nallah Sawjian in Mandi. Eleven persons boarding the vehicle were injured and one of them died later.

The deceased has been identified as Mohammad Sadaq (52) son of Ali Bhadur of Gagrian. All the injured were shifted to PHC Sawjian and later four persons were later shifted to SDH  Mandi. The injured include Mohammad Ibrahim , Ghulam Rasool, Shahbana kousar (10), Sajad Ahmed , Zeeshan Ahmed , Munira begum, Abdul Ahad, Sarba Begum, Habibullah and Layaqat Ali , all residents of Gagrian. SHO Mandi  Bashir Kohli confirmed it and said that a case been registered.
