J&K reports 9 new covid-19 case, no death

Srinagar, June 3: Jammu and Kashmir reported nine new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

They said that eight of the cases were reported from Jammu district and one from Srinagar, taking the overall tally to 454271—166490 in Jammu division and 287781 in Kashmir.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, four Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours—all from Kashmir Valley. So far 449458 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 61— 54 in Jammu and 7 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 7620 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
