J&K reports 11 new covid-19 cases, no death

Srinagar, May 19: Jammu and Kashmir reported eleven new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

They said that the nine cases were reported from Jammu, one from Srinagar and Baramulla, taking the overall tally to 454170—166413 in Jammu and 287757 in Kashmir.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4752 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2424 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, ten Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours and include six from Jammu division and four from Kashmir. So far 449364 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 54 — 41 in Jammu and 13 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 12100 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
