SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Monday said that two persons were arrested for beating youth to death in Khansahib area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.

A police spokesman in statement said that two persons identified as Tahir Bashir Khan son of Bashir Ahmed Khan and Hilal Ahmed Lone son of Abdul Ganie Lone residents of Kachwari Khansaib were arrested in connection with the death of a person identified as Fayaz Ahmed Najar son of Abdul Rashid Najar resident of Gurwaith Khansaib.

“The deceased was hit on his head by the two accused persons at Kachwari. Accordingly, he was taken to SKIMS in a critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries,” he said.

“Case FIR number 60/2022 was registered at Police Station Khansahib under section 302 IPC and investigation set into motion,” said the spokesman.
