J&K reports 4 new covid-19 cases, no death

Srinagar, May 9: Jammu and Kashmir reported four new covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, officials said on Monday.

They said that three of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu division and one from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 454113—166374 in Jammu and 287739 in Kashmir.

Giving district wise details, they said, three cases were from Jammu and one from Srinagar.

There was also no death due to the pathogen reported in the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4751 persons have succumbed to the virus—2328 in Jammu and 2423 in Kashmir.

Besides, they said, four Covid-19 patients recovered during the last 24 hours, two each from Jammu and the Valley. So far 449306 people have recovered, leaving the active case tally at 56— 34 in Jammu and 22 in Kashmir.

The officials said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said. They also informed that 19769 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
