Punt Gun recovered from a boat in Bandipora

Bandipora: Forest Protection Force (FPF) on Tuesday said that they have recoveree a punt gun, a boat and contraband articles from a boat at Lankreshipora area of Bandipora district in North Kashmir.

Reports quoting Assistant director Operations Mohammad Younis said that they had received a  ‘tip off regarding the use of punt guns at Wular lake’.

The Punt gun is used for killing certain bird species.

Officials claimed that a 09-feet long punt gun, a boat and live shells were seized from the spot.

The Punt gun is a type of extremely large shotgun used in wetlands to shoot large numbers of waterfowl for commercial hunting.
