CSFK applauds J&K government for upgrade in oxygen capacity

Civil Society Forum Kashmir (CSFK) on Monday applauded efforts of J&K Government in upgrading the oxygen capacity.
CSFK in a press statement expressed gratitude to the J&K government for enhancing its oxygen production capacity from 14916 LPM in August, 2020 to 90300 LPM capacities at present. “The UT had just 24 oxygen plants in August, 2020 and 87 plants more plants have been added since then which is quite commendable” CSFK spokesperson said. CSFK Spokesperson further added that “Jammu and Kashmir Government’s prompt response and multi-pronged strategies towards tackling the global pandemic, COVID-19, has not been only able to flatten the epidemic curve swiftly but strengthened emergency health services manifold to meet impending health challenges more proficiently”.

CSFK has called for further strengthening the healthcare infrastructure and facilities in the UT so that the best possible healthcare facilities are made available to the people in every nook and
corner of Jammu and Kashmir. In his statement CSFK spokesperson further
added that with the timely intervention of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and the active support from Government of India, the JK government has successfully controlled the COVID-19 pandemic in the UT of J&K and substantially augmented the healthcare facilities including oxygen capacity and vaccine doses. He further expressed hope that the government will take all necessary measures to keep COVID outbreak under control in future and will not let new variants spread in the UT.
