Woman Dies, 4 Days After Hit By Speeding Tipper In Handwara

Srinagar Mar 12: A 35-year-old woman, who was injured in a road accident on March 8 near Tutigund area of Vodhpora Handwara in Kupwara district, succumbed to her injuries here on Saturday.

Reports said that the woman Syeda Begum, 35, wife of Mohammad Akber of Mawer was critically injured after being hit by a speeding tipper (JK02AK-1706) on last Tuesday. Subsequently she was shifted to nearby hospital where from she was referred to a Srinagar-based hospital for specialized treatment. The woman breathed her last today, they said.

A police official confirming the incident said that a case has been already registered in this regard.
