Missing man’s body found after 24 days in Awantipora

Pulwama, Mar 12: Body of a 65-year-old man, who had been missing for the last 24 days, was recovered from river Jhelum in south Kashmir’s Awantipora on Saturday.

 

Reports said that the body of Abdul Gani Bhat (65) son of Mohammad Sideeq Bhat of Sunsaneel area of Pulwama was spotted by some passersby who informed the concerned police station about it. Later a police team reached the spot and recovered the body.

 

A police official said that Bhat, a retired PDD employee, had been missing since February 16. He said further proceedings have been initiated.
