Man’s body found 2 days after drowning in north Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 9: Body of a 35-year-old man was retrieved on Wednesday, more than two days after he fell into a riverlet in Dand Kadal Langate area in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
Reports said that the man identified as Mohammad Amin Bhat son of Mohid-u-din Bhat of Batapora Langate slipped and fell into Nallah on morning of March 7.
Subsequently police, SDRF and army’s 30 RR along with locals launched operation and retrieved the body this afternoon. A police officer said that body would be handedover to family for last rites after medico-legal formalities.
