Pathwari’s to launch pen down strike ‘for basic rights’, ‘against arrests’

Srinagar:  The All Jammu and Kashmir Pathwara association on Friday said that  there will be a complete pendown strike across the province Jammu on Friday onwards and pendown strike in whole UT from Saturday onwards.

“The token pendown strike across the UT will be in solidarity with our basic members especially, arrested days before in District Jammu, ” the press statement said.

 

“The meeting was held on 3-3-2022 at 10 pm under the leadership of State President Mr Abdul Majid Mallah regarding the prevailing situation in jammu. The meeting was attended by all the State body members, members from both province bodies viz: Jammu and kashmir, all the District Presidents across the UT . Thread bare discussion was held on the arrest and harrasment spree of our innocent basic members from District jammu and long pending demands of patwar fraternity, ” it reads.

They said that it was unanimously decided by all the participants of the meeting in one voice that there should be a complete pendown strike across the province Jammu on Friday onwards and pendiwn strike of Whole UT from Saturday onwards. The token pendown strike across the UT will b in solidarity with our basic members especially, arrested days before in District Jammu.

“It was directed by the State President that all the District Presidents will join the pendown strike at their District Headquarters and a memorandum already issued shall b submitted to the respective Deputy Commissionets without any fail, ” it reads.
