Srinagar: The Government of India has appointed four members of the Waqf Board in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The four members include Sohail Kazmi and Nawab Din(Regional Director Survey and Land Records, Udhampur).

The other members, according to notification are Dr. Darakhshan Andrabi daughter of Syed Ghulam, Syed Mohd Hussain, and Dr. Ghulam Nabi Haleem.

The members appointed by Government of India are appointed for a period of five years from the date of publication of notification in the gazette.

The INS team welcomes appointment of Sohail Kazmi in the new four members of the waqf board.
