New Delhi: Ukraine on Thursday said that it has killed around ’50 Russian occupiers’ as the country is facing a military operation by Russia.
According to AFP Ukraine claimed to have killed at least 50 Russians and termed them as ‘occupiers’. The report comes after Ukraine President ordered its military to inflict ‘maximum losses’.
According to a media report the head of the Ukrainian military said that he had received orders from President Volodymyr Zelensky to repel a Russian invasion of his country.
“The supreme commander the Armed Forces of Ukraine gave orders to inflict maximum losses against the aggressor,” Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Valeriy Zaluzhny said, report said.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced today a military operation in Ukraine to defend separatists in the east of the country, called the Donbas region. “I have made the decision of a military operation,” he said in a surprise statement on television shortly before 6 am.
