Srinagar: A minor girl from Srinagar was killed in road accident in Awantipora area of Pulwama district on Thursday.

An official told the news agency that a vehicle bearing registeration number JK18B-6101 met with an accident at Chersoo in Awantipora area in which a minor girl received critical injuries.

He said that the girl was shifted to a nearby hospital, however, she succumbed to her injuries.

He identified the deceased minor girl as Tauba Jan l, daughter of Dr Majid Sheikh of Soura Srinagar.

He further added that police has taken up investigation of the incident.
