Srinagar, Jan 5: Weatherman on Wednesday said that weather will be “favourable” for flight operation on Thursday and Friday but no so on weekend when it has forecast heavy to very snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Present weather (moderate rain/snow) is most likely to continue till late night today,” an official of the meteorological department said.

He said a significant decrease in precipitation is expected from later tonight.

“Expect another intense spell (heavy to very heavy) during 7(night) -8th,” he said in a statement, “Weather will remain favourable for flight operation on 6th and 7th and not favourable on 8th.”

He said people are requested not to venture in avalanche prone area as data shows that most avalanches are triggered during Intense heavy snowfall. “Follow Traffic Advisory Seriously,” he said, adding, “Maintain proper ventilation of your rooms.”
