199 fresh covid-19 cases, no death reported in J&K

Srinagar, Jan 4: Jammu and Kashmir reported 199 fresh covid-19 cases while there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.

90 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu division and 109 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 342001.

There was no death reported due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4530 persons—2199 in Jammu and 2331 in Kashmir—have died due to the virus, they said.

Giving district wise details of the fresh cases, the officials said that Srinagar reported 62 cases, Baramulla 3, Budgam 14, Pulwama 4, Kupwara 8, Anantnag 5, Bandipora 5, Ganderbal 5, Kulgam 3, Shopian 0, Jammu 58, Udhampur 3, Rajouri 3, Doda 3, Kathua 7, Samba 2, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 9, Ramban 4 and Reasi 0.

Moreover, 156 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 38 from Jammu Division and 118 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 335930 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1541—611 in Jammu and 930 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 51 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

They also informed that 83308 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
