123 fresh covid-19 cases, 2 deaths reported in J&K

Srinagar, Dec 31: Jammu and Kashmir reported 123 fresh covid-19 cases while two persons died due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

58 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu division and 65 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 341290.

Two deaths, one each from Jammu division and Kashmir were reported due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4528 persons—2199 in Jammu and 2329 in Kashmir—have died due to the virus, they said.

Giving district wise details of the fresh cases, the officials said that Srinagar reported 35 cases, Baramulla 12, Budgam 5, Pulwama 5, Kupwara 4, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 4, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 29, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 6, Doda 12, Kathua 1, Samba 1, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 7.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory and include female (24) (NA) from Botakadal Sgr, female (80) (NA) from Hyderpora Sgr, male (80) (NA) from Tangmarg baramulla, female (13) (NA) from Sgr, male (76) (NA) from Sgr, male (09) (NA) from Sgr, male (80) (NA) from Qamarwari Sgr, male (75) (NA) from Kangan ganderbal, male (30) (NA) from Dardpora, male (27) (NA) from SSB vilgam, male (34) (NA) from SSB vilgam, female (70) (NA) from Tenghara baramulla, male (06) (NA) from Tenghara baramulla, male (28) (NA) from Uthmullah pulwama, female (34) (NA) from Prichoo Pulwama, female (32) (NA) from Sirnoo pulwama, male (75) (NA) from Namlabal pampore, female (40) (NA) from Bathnoor, male (50) (NA) from Awantipora, male (40) (NA) from Chitterugam, female (40) (NA) from Manigah kupwara, male (33) (NA) from Mawar bala, female (28) (NA) from Langate, male (12) (NA) from Gund khuroo, male (60) (NA) from Guloora Langate, female (02) (NA) from PHC lalpora, female (60) (NA) from Baramulla, female (28) (NA) from Baghat, male (60) (NA) from Tral.

Moreover, 78 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 17 from Jammu Division and 61 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 335425 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1337—422 in Jammu and 915 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 50 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

They also informed that 75235 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
