SRINAGAR, DECEMBER 12: Department of Handicrafts and Handloom conducted a UT level DPC meeting  on Saturday under the Chairmanship of Director Handicrafts & Handloom, Kashmir.

Besides, Director Handicrafts & Handloom Kashmir Director, Handicrafts and Handloom Jammu, Joint Director (H&H) Jammu, Joint Director (H&H) Kashmir, Deputy Director (H&H) Jammu and Deputy Secretary, Industries and Commerce Department, Jammu participated in the meeting.

The Jammu based officers attended the meeting through virtual mode.

Out of 22 newly created posts of Handloom Training Officers in UT of J&K, 20 posts were filled by promoting Assistant Handloom Training Officers  in the meeting The Director Handicrafts & Handloom Kashmir during the current Financial year 2021-22 had chaired 4 UT level DPCs & 02 Divisional level DPCs whereby total number of 156 officials of ministerial / executive and technical cadre of the department were cleared for promotions to the next higher level / grade as  promotions were pending since long. Thus all the issues regarding promotions of employees are almost resolved by the Director Handicrafts & Handloom Kashmir.

Congratulating the officials, the Director Handicrafts & Handlooms Kashmir, Mahmood Ahmad Shah advised them to work with zeal and zest for the betterment of the artisan/weavers community.
