Govt. acts tough on reports of damages to trees in Kamraj Forest Division

KUPWARA, NOVEMBER 29: Range officer Kupwara, Block Officer Manigah and two beat officials were on Monday placed under suspension for failing to act against forest damages in two compartments of Manigah block of Kamraj forest division.
Viewing the negligence seriously, Range officer Kupwara Mohammad Yaseen Khan, Block Officer Manigah, Mohammad Shafi Mir and two other beat officials were suspended for failing to act against forest damages in compartments NH 80 and 82 of Manigah Block.
Based on inputs and tip off received an enquiry was conducted into the matter.
On the findings of enquiry, the Range Officer, Block Officer and two beat officials were suspended and departmental enquiry has also been initiated against them.
