Srinagar, Nov 24: National Conference president and former three-time Chief Minister of J&K Farooq Abdullah had power unit of his pacemaker changed at SKIMS Soura here. Subsequent to the pre-scheduled medical procedure, Farooq, who is member parliament from Srinagar, was discharged, reports said.

His son and party’s vice president Farooq Abdullah took to twitter and thanked the doctors and nursing staff at the tertiary care hospital.

“I join my father & the rest of the family in thanking the doctors, nursing staff & others at #SKIMS Srinagar for the care they took today,” Omar tweeted, adding, “He went in for a pre-scheduled procedure to change the power unit of his pacemaker & is now resting at home.”
