Jammu and Kashmir Reports 223 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, 2 Deaths

Srinagar, Nov 18: Jammu and Kashmir reported 223 fresh covid-19 cases while two persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

Among the fresh cases, 32 were reported from Jammu Division and 191 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 334823.

There were two deaths, one each from the Jammu and Kashmir divisions, due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said. So far 4459—2182 in Jammu and 2277 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details of the fresh cases, the officials said that Srinagar reported 74 cases, Baramulla 54, Budgam 11, Pulwama 19, Kupwara 15, Anantnag 01, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 14, Kulgam 0, Shopian 1, Jammu 11, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 9, Doda 2, Kathua 5, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 5.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic labouratory and include female (55) (NA) from Sgr, female (23) (NA) from Bandipora, male (45) (NA) from Mandirbagh, male (35) (NA) from Eidgah, female (60) (NA) from Sgr, male (33) (NA) from Anantnag, male (38) (NA) from Pulwama, male (26) (NA) from Safakadal, female (55) (NA) from Lalbazar Sgr, male (60) (NA) from Sgr, male (43) (NA) from Hyderpora, male (33) (NA) from Hyderpora, male (55) (NA) from Rawalpora, male (70) (NA) from Sgr, male (42) (NA) from Hyderpora, female (35) (NA) from Qamarwari, male (40) (NA) from HMT, male (30) (NA) from Kawoosa budgam, female (22) (NA) from Sethar kakapora, male (12) (NA) from J&K, male (50) (NA) from Pulwama, male (34) (NA) from Tailbal, male (45) (NA) from Naseemabad, male (29) (NA) from Lalbazar, female (34) (NA) from Sogam lolab, female (26) (NA) from Darpora lolab, female (67) (NA) from Devar lolab, male (36) (NA) from Chandigam lolab, female (30) (NA) from Bakiakhar Zachaldara, male (35) (NA) from Langate, male (40) (NA) from Langate, female (38) (NA) from Ujroo Langate, female (70) (NA) from Lasjan Sgr, male (68) (NA) from Kupwara, male (70) (NA) from Brain, male (28) (NA) from Kakpora, female (22) (NA) from Pulwama, female (40) (NA) from Peerbagh Sgr, male (65) (NA) from Peerbagh Sgr, male (31) (NA) from Batamaloo Sgr and male (40) (NA) from Chinar mohalla Baderwah, male (52) (NA) from Humhama.

Moreover, 153 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 18 from Jammu Division and 135 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 328783 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1581—257 in Jammu and 1324 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 44588 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
