Srinagar, Nov 6: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday reviewed Covid-19 situation in J&K and termed rapid asymptomatic testing, contact tracing as “important tools” to help reduce spread of virus.

“Today reviewed Covid situation in J&K. Main line of defence is now vaccination. We have secured sufficient supplies to support vaccination & efforts should be made to maximise uptake,” LG said in a tweet. “Test, Trace, and Isolate mechanism remains critical to the district’s plan for tackling the pandemic,” he said as per GNS, adding, “Rapid asymptomatic testing,contact tracing are important tools to help reduce spread of virus.”

He said DCs, SPs, Health department should strictly enforce Covid-19 Appropriate Behaviour in Hospitals, and other public places. “Health Department will monitor all relevant data on a regular basis for swift action,” he added.
