J&K Reports Two Covid-19 Deaths, 109 Fresh Cases

Srinagar, Nov 5: Jammu and Kashmir reported 109 fresh covid-19 cases while two persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Friday.

Among the fresh cases, 11 were reported from Jammu Division and 98 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 332760.

There were two fresh fatalities due to the virus during the last 24 hours, they said and one victim each belonged to Jammu and Kashmir divisions respectively. So far 4440—2177 in Jammu and 2263 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 64 cases, Baramulla 12, Budgam 8, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 7, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 2, Ganderbal 3, Kulgam 2, Shopian 0, Jammu 9, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 1, Doda 0, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 0.

Moreover, 79 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, eight from Jammu Division and 71 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 327311 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1009—123 in Jammu and 886 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 68597 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
