Jammu, Oct 30: A 25-year-old youth from Baramulla died after a brand new car he was driving skidded off the road and rolled down into 200-feet down rivulet at Magerkote Mour in Ramban district of on Saturday, officials said.

A police officer said that at around 0500 hours, new brand Alto car bearing Engine no.F8DN6601063 and chassis no.MA3EUA61S00J60014 skidded off the road near BDO office at Magerkote Mour Ramsoo on Jammu-Srinagar highway and fell into a nallah (rivulet) around 200-ft downhill.

The 25-year-old youth identified as Aqeel Ahmad Shaw son of Mohammad Syed Shaw of Khawajabag Baramulla, who was driving it and died on the spot. Shaw was on way to coming from Jammu to Valley, he said. In this regard, he said, Police has registered a case (FIR 125/2021) under section 279 /304A IPC at Police station Ramsoo.
