Jammu and Kashmir Reports 98 New Covid-19 Cases, One Death

Srinagar, Oct 28: Jammu and Kashmir reported 98 new covid-19 cases even as there was one death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

Among the fresh cases, seven were reported from Jammu Division and 91 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 331963.

There was one death due to the virus during the time. So far 4432—2176 in Jammu and 2256 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, they said that Srinagar reported 50 cases, Baramulla 17,

Budgam 11, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 3, Bandipora 1, Ganderbal 4, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 3, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 1, Doda 2, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 1.

A  number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic labouratory and include female (62) (NA) from Lalbazar, female (11) (NA) from Sonwar, female (15) (NA) from Ganderbal, male (71) (NA) from Sgr, female (27) (NA) from Chadoora, female (06) (NA) from Rajpora Pulwama, male (19) (NA) from J&K, male (29) (NA) from Sanatnagar, male (34) (NA) from Baspora, female (26) (NA) from Eidgah, male (28) (NA) from Mehjoor nagar, male (69) (NA) from Wazir Bagh, male (32) (NA) from Sonwar, female (32) (NA) from Kangan, male (42) (NA) from Chandpora Harwan and female (30) (NA) from Shalimar.

Moreover, 72 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 15 from Jammu Division and 57 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 331963 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 863—113 in Jammu and 750 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 72446 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
