J&K Logs 60 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, 1 Death Reported

Srinagar, Oct 25: Jammu and Kashmir reported 60 new covid-19 cases even as one person succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Monday.

Among the fresh cases, nine were reported from Jammu Division and 51 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 331638.

There was one death, from Jammu, due to the virus during the time. So far 4423—2176 in Jammu and 2254 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 31 cases, Baramulla 10, Budgam 4, Pulwama 0, Kupwara 4, Anantnag 1, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 1, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 3, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 1, Doda 3, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 1.

A few of these cases were confirmed  at CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory  and include female (65) from Hazratbal Srg, female (NA) from Batmaloo, female (NA) from Baramulla and male (29) from Elahibagh

Moreover, 90 Covid-19 patients recovered during the time, 23 from Jammu Division and 67 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 326433 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 835—129 in Jammu and 706 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 66,578  doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
