Jammu & Kashmir Reports 87 New Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, Oct 21: Jammu and Kashmir reported 87 new covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

Among the fresh cases, 13 were reported from Jammu Division and 74 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 331386.

There was no death due to the virus during the time. So far 4429—2175 in Jammu and 2254 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 43 cases, Baramulla 6, Budgam 10, Pulwama 1, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 3, Ganderbal 4, Kulgam 2, Shopian 0, Jammu 6, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 0, Doda 2, Kathua 2, Samba 0, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 2.

A number of these cases were confirmed  at CD hospital and include male (29) from Batmaloo Srg, female (80) from Safakadal, female (10) from Barbarshah, male (17) from Shamaswari, female (27) and male (42) from Aalimasjid, male (23) from Kathi Maidan, female (25) and male (12) from Lal Bazar, male (17) from Elahibagh Srg, male (15) from Buchpora, male (45) from J&K, female (27) from Chandgam Pul, female (35) from Rajbagh, male (54) from Buchpora, female (43) from Bihar, male (NA) from Lal Bazar, female (NA) from Wazirbagh Srg, male  (NA) from Kharpora Sirnoo Pul, male (NA) from Soura, female (31) and male (40) from Kursoo Rajbagh.

Moreover, 73 COVID-19 patients recovered during the time, 10 from Jammu Division and 63 from Kashmir, they said.

So far 326143 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 814—130 in Jammu and 684 in Kashmir.

They said there was no new confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 49 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 88,835 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K.
