Leopard found dead in Soafshali Kokernag

Anantnag, Oct 19: A leopard was found dead in Kokernag area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials told GNS on Tuesday.
Sources said that some villagers noticed the carcass of full grown leopard lying in the bushes of Kogamnard Soafshali forest area of Kokernag and informed concerned officials. Later a team of officials reached the spot and took the body.
When contacted, an official of the concerned department said that it seems that the leopard had natural death. However he said experts of forensic laboratory have taken the samples from the carcass and the report will confirm the cause of the death.
