IGP identifies Militant Killed In Bemina As TRF’s Tanzeel From Habba Kadal Srinagar

Srinagar, Oct 15: Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on Friday identified the militant killed in Bemina Srinagar as Tanzeel from Haba Kadal Srinagar.

The IGP said that militant was “involved” in killing of a police officer PSI Arshid Ahmad near Khaniyar and owned allegiance to TRF militant outfit.

The gunfight had started between militants and joint team of police and CRPF in Bemina area of Srinagar district on Friday evening.

It said a joint team of Police and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in Bemina.

As the joint team of forces encircled the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight.
