80 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death Reported In J&K; ’13 Districts Achieve 100% First Dose Vaccine Coverage’

Srinagar, Oct 12 : Jammu and Kashmir registered 80 new positive cases even as there was no death due to the pathogen in the last 24 hours, officials said on Tuesday.

Among the fresh cases, 12 were reported from Jammu Division and 67 from Kashmir, taking the overall tally to 330666.

There was no death due to the virus. So far 4426—2174 in Jammu and 2252 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district wise details, the officials said that Srinagar reported 37 cases, Baramulla 6, Budgam 6, Pulwama 1, Kupwara 4, Anantnag 8, Bandipora 0, Ganderbal 5, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 2, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 0, Doda 1, Kathua 1, Samba 0, Kishtwar 0, Poonch 2, Ramban 0 and Reasi 7.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory and include female (90) from Qamarwari, female (50) from Rajbagh, male (20) from Gong, male (35) and female (8) from Khangund, female (38) from Sazgaripora, male (25) and female (70) from Lal Bazar, male (42) from Sumbal, female (45) from Shalimar, male (38) and female (11) from Srinagar.

Moreover, the officials said that 136 more patients have recovered—47 from Jammu Division and 89 from Kashmir. So far 325111 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 993—247 in Jammu and 746 in Kashmir.

They said there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today. So far 47 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials said.

The government also informed that 1, 88,331 doses of covid-19 vaccine were administered during the time in J&K. It informed that 13 Districts— Jammu, Rajouri, Poonch, Ramban, Doda Samba, Anantnag, Shopian, Pulwama, Budgam, Bandipora and Ganderbal have achieved 100% first dose vaccine coverage.
