Srinagar, Oct 12: Police on Tuesday said that three militants were killed in an overnight gunfight with joint team of police, army and CRPF  at Tulran area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district on Tuesday.

Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar on official Twitter handle said that out of three militants killed, one has been identified as Mukhtar Shah of Ganderbal who he said shifted to Shopian after killing “one street hawker Virendra Paswan of Bihar.”

Last evening, a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Tulran amid inputs about the presence of militants which culminated into a gunfight, police said.
