J&K Reports 100 Fresh Covid-19 Cases, No Death

Srinagar, Oct 4: Jammu and Kashmir reported 100 fresh covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Monday.

22 of these cases were reported from Jammu Division and 78 from Kashmir Valley, taking the overall tally to 329889.

There was no death due to the virus. So far 4424—2174 in Jammu and 2250 in Kashmir—have died due to the pathogen, they said.

Giving district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 44 cases, Baramulla 2, Budgam 6, Pulwama 5, Kupwara 3, Anantnag 2, Bandipora 5, Ganderbal 9, Kulgam 1, Shopian 1, Jammu 10, Udhampur 0, Rajouri 2, Doda 4, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 0, Ramban 2 and Reasi 3.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory and include male (15) from Khaniyar, male (33) from Sgr, male (48) (NA) from Rangpora,  female (53) (NA) from Hawal, female (32) (NA) from Hawal, female (30) (NA) from Makhdoom sahib, male (55) (NA) from Rainawari, female (18) (NA) from Pulwama, male (26) (NA) from Dadsara and male (07) (NA) from Wahab Sobhs.

Moreover, the officials said that 144 more patients have recovered—27 from Jammu Division and 117 from Kashmir. So far 324308 patients have recovered, leaving active case tally at 1157—264 in Jammu and 893 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far 46 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
