204 Covid-19 Cases Reported In Jammu & Kashmir, Highest Single-Day Tally In Over 2 Months

Srinagar, Sept 22: Jammu and Kashmir reported over 200 fresh covid-19 cases, for the first time in over two months, even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours in J&K, officials said on Wednesday.

They said 204 cases were reported—45 from Jammu division and 159 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 328418.

Providing district wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 80 cases, Baramulla 14, Budgam 28, Pulwama 7, Kupwara 4, Anantnag 5, Bandipora 7, Ganderbal 14, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 4, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 4, Doda 1, Kathua 1, Samba 4, Kishtwar 1, Poonch 1, Ramban 0 and Reasi 28.  Last time it was July 14 when J&K reported above two hundred cases.

A number of these cases were confirmed at CD hospital and GMC Anantnag’s diagnostic laboratories.

The CD cases include female (50) from Bemina, female (40) from Nowpora, male (34) from Namchebal, male (20) from Dalgate, female (4) and male (15) from Hawal, female (18) from Amdakadal, male (40) from Wantapora, female (16) from Lal Bazar, male (39) from Below Pul, female (16) from Wasoora Pul, female (25) from Astanpora Chakura, male (37) from Dangerpora Pul, female (50) from Rajbagh Srg, female (5) from Naiva Pul, male (25) from Pampore Pul, male (27) from Shivpora Srg, male (27) from Peerbagh Srg, female (40) from Bemina Srg, female (24) from Harwan, female (40) from Pattan, female (56) from Mirjanpora, male (27) from Ganderbal, male (55) from Kupwara and male (40) from Kunzer.

The GMC Anantnag cases include male (19) from Tarigam, male (48) from B B Nowgam and male (50) from Watnard Kokernag.

Moreover, the officials said that 118 more COVID-19 patients have recovered during the time—17 from Jammu Division and 101 from Kashmir. So far 322463 people have recovered and 4419 died—2172 in Jammu and 2247 in Kashmir. There are now 1536 active cases—246 in Jammu and 1290 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was no fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far 46 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
