170 Fresh Covid-19 Cases Reported In Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar, Sept 16: Jammu and Kashmir reported 170 new covid-19 cases even as there was no death due to the virus in the last 24 hours, officials said on Thursday.

They said 41 of the cases were reported from Jammu Division and 129 from Kashmir Valley, taking the total count to 327466.

There was no death due to the virus. So far 4415 people have died— 2169 in Jammu division and 2246 in Kashmir.

Providing the district-wise details, they said, Srinagar reported 70 cases, Baramulla 12, Budgam 27, Pulwama 5, Kupwara 5, Anantnag 0, Bandipora 3, Ganderbal 7, Kulgam 0, Shopian 0, Jammu 10, Udhampur 1, Rajouri 5, Doda 4, Kathua 0, Samba 0, Kishtwar 2, Poonch 0, Ramban 0 and Reasi 19.

Moreover, they said, 98 more COVID-19 patients have recovered—12 from Jammu and 86 from Kashmir. With them, 321630 people have recovered. There are 1421 active cases in J&K—253 in Jammu and 1168 in Kashmir.

Meanwhile, there was one fresh confirmed case of mucormycosis (black fungus) reported today, they said. So far 46 black fungus cases have been confirmed in J&K, the officials added.
